Volleyball Game Preview: Normandy Invaders vs. Avon Eagles

The Normandy Invaders will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Avon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Normandy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Avon will arrive with four straight wins.

Last Thursday, Normandy didn't have quite enough to beat Steele and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Normandy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-6.

While Avon didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Avon Lake with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-12.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-4. As for Normandy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
