Soccer Recap: Silsbee Comes Up Short

If Silsbee was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Jasper last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silsbee Tigers came up short against the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks on Friday, falling 5-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in February.

Silsbee's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Hardin-Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Coming up, Silsbee will challenge Little Cypress-Mauriceville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lumberton will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Hardin-Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
