Basketball Game Preview: Campbell Spartans vs. Pebblebrook Falcons

The Campbell Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Pebblebrook Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Campbell is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Campbell beat McEachern 62-50. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Indians are ranked 191st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pebblebrook, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Osborne by a score of 63-52 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Campbell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Pebblebrook, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 6-15.

Everything came up roses for Campbell against Pebblebrook when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
