Recap: Maricopa Rams vs. Valley Vista Monsoon

Even though the Maricopa Rams have not done well against the Valley Vista Monsoon recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Maricopa secured a 51-46 W over the Monsoon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Maricopa.
Maricopa found their leader in underclassman Ruben White, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. It was the first time this season that White scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Barlow, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Valley Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maximus Romero. Despite the final result, he scored ten points.
Maricopa's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Valley Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Maricopa will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tolleson is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season. As for Valley Vista, they will be playing at home against the Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cesar Chavez knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matches -- so hopefully the Monsoon likes a good challenge.
