Football Recap: Zephyrhills Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Zephyrhills Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the University Christian Christians, falling 56-25. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 34-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Despite the defeat, Zephyrhills Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gavin Davis picked up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those 120 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Davis. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadon Olaffson, who threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy's record is now 1-9. As for University Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
