Middle Tennessee Monarchs dropped their record down to 15-15 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Columbia Academy Bulldogs. Middle Tennessee Monarchs was not able to make up for their loss to Columbia Academy from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

As for Columbia Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by eight runs or more this season.

For Columbia Academy's part, Jackson Lee looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Lee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jacob Woodward was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nixon Love, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Middle Tennessee Monarchs will challenge Eagleville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Academy, they will square off against Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
