Volleyball Recap: Winside Comes Up Short

Winside suffered their biggest defeat since September 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the St. Mary's Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.

Aftyn Schutt paced Winside's offense, picking up ten kills. Schutt got some help from Raylyn Behmer and her 18 assists. Adrianna Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Winside now has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Mary's, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winside will welcome Wynot on Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they will host Chambers/Wheeler Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
