The Baldwin Bears will face off against the William Penn Charter Quakers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Baldwin has four straight wins, William Penn Charter has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Baldwin will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Academy-Notre Dame De Namur, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bears put the hurt on Academy-Notre Dame De Namur with a sharp 15-5 victory on Wednesday. Fans of the Bears have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Jules Torres was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Addison Milner was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Milner is crushing it when it comes to RBI: she's brought in at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Addison Ford was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
Baldwin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, William Penn Charter lost 28-8 to Mt. St. Joseph Academy on Wednesday.
Ellie McKernan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Prasad, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
William Penn Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Baldwin, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Baldwin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like William Penn Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
