Baseball Recap: KIPP San Jose Collegiate Takes a Loss

KIPP San Jose Collegiate extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They came up short against the Design Tech Dragons, falling 15-1. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 26-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Design Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games.

For Design Tech's part, Diego Carrasco was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three runs and one double. That's the most runs Carrasco has posted since back in March. Eoin Halili also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

While KIPP San Jose Collegiate had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
