Recap: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Ferguson Falcons
The Braddock Bulldogs lost against the Ferguson Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Braddock took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ferguson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Braddock in their matchups with Ferguson: they've now lost three in a row.
Braddock's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elsa Stier , who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Stier scored a full 27.3% of Braddock's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Yvonne Jebian was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
Braddock now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Ferguson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Braddock will head out on the road to face off against Killian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ferguson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lourdes Academy at 5:10 p.m. on Monday. Lourdes Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
