Recap: Hardee Wildcats vs. Sebring Blue Streaks
If the Hardee Wildcats were feeling good off their 46-12 takedown of the Oasis Christian Lions on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hardee was the victim of a rough 42-18 loss at the hands of Sebring on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hardee has scored all season.
Alexandra Jackson was Hardee's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Sebring found their leader in underclassman Molly Jane Zwayer, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Zwayer's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Gileanys Nieves Martinez was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Hardee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Sebring, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Hardee will be home for the holidays to greet DeSoto County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DeSoto County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Sebring will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kathleen at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
