Harlingen South is a perfect 9-0 against Donna North since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hawks will square off against the Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harlingen South has four straight victories, Donna North has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Donna North's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Harlingen South hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Hawks walked away with a 5-0 win over Porter on Tuesday.

Not much got past Lexi Sandoval, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Porter off the board. Sandoval has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Georgia Chapa, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Donna North fell victim to Weslaco East and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 25-0.

Donna North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was America Macias, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Donna North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Harlingen South, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Everything went Harlingen South's way against Donna North when the teams last played back in March, as Harlingen South made off with an 18-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
