Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Eagles vs. West Scranton Invaders

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montrose, Mountain View was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the West Scranton Invaders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Mountain View walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-20.

Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubrey Sanders, who had 11 assists and five aces. Sanders is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karley Norton, who had seven aces and six kills.

They weren't the only good server: Mountain View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.
