Basketball Game Preview: International Community Comets vs. Innovation Bulls

The International Community Comets will challenge the Innovation Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (International Community has three straight victories, Innovation has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

International Community is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Crooms Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Comets blew the Panthers out of the water with a 73-26 final score. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 39 points or more this season.

Paxton Boaz was his usual excellent self, shooting 8-for-10 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double with 33 points and nine assists. The contest was his 11th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erza Rivera, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Innovation came up short against Freedom on Friday and fell 69-61.

Innovation now has a losing record of 3-4. As for International Community, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
