Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Bulls vs. Elko Indians
The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 61-52 to Elko. Sports Leadership & Management lost against Elko in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-35 score last time.
Defeat or not, Sports Leadership & Management got some senior leadership from Andre Cade who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals and Noah Tomlin who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The game was Cade's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kali Clemons, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Sports Leadership & Management has fallen quite a ways from their 28-4 record last season and are now at 3-8. As for Elko, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Sports Leadership & Management will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Enterprise at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. Enterprise knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Sports Leadership & Management likes a good challenge. Elko and Snow Canyon will face off at 5:15 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Snow Canyon is ranked 48th in Utah, while Elko is ranked 24th in Nevada).
