Fort Ann extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 17-2. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Duanesburg Eagles a 9-0 shutout. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Duanesburg, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. The game marked the first time this year in which they were not able to get on the board.

For Duanesburg's part, Genevieve Rickert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Duanesburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriella DeLeon, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Allie Reese also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

As of now, neither Fort Ann nor Duanesburg have any future games scheduled.
