Basketball Recap: Elida Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Elida won against Botkins last Saturday with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Elida Bulldogs managed a 47-41 win over the Bluffton Pirates. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 49-37 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Elida is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Bluffton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elida will host Bath at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bluffton, they will welcome Lima Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bluffton is facing Lima Central Catholic at the right time seeing as Lima Central Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
