Basketball Game Preview: Warroad Warriors vs. Stephen-Argyle Central Storm

The Warroad Warriors will square off against the Stephen-Argyle Central Storm at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Warroad's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Warroad took their matchup with ease, bagging a 113-22 win over International Falls. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Stephen-Argyle Central might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-49 to Sacred Heart, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Warroad's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.7 points. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Warroad didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Stephen-Argyle Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win.
