Soccer Game Preview: McLean vs. South County

The McLean Highlanders will take on the South County Stallions at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. McLean is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

McLean's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Langley 6-0. Considering McLean have won six games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, South County has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 27. They fell just short of Woodson by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

McLean pushed their record up to 8-1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for South County, they now have a losing record of 3-4-2.

McLean beat South County by a goal in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-2. Do the Highlanders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stallions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
