Volleyball Game Preview: Northview Academy Cougars vs. Seymour Eagles

Northview Academy hasn't had much luck against Seymour recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Monday, Northview Academy came up short against Jefferson County and fell 3-1.

While Northview Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Jefferson County work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Seymour also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Greeneville by a score of 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Greene Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Northview Academy will have to keep a close watch on Isabella Hylan and Baylie Sliger, a pair of players who had a big impact on Seymour's prior game. Hylan had 18 digs, while Sliger had nine kills and one block.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Northview Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Northview Academy couldn't quite get it done against Seymour in their previous matchup on September 4th as they fell 3-1.
