Football Recap: Bunnell Bulldogs vs. Stratford Red Devils
Bunnell won the last time they faced Stratford, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bunnell Bulldogs took their game with ease, bagging a 47-6 victory over the Stratford Red Devils. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Leading Bunnell to victory were Rody Ricketts and KK Smalls. Ricketts rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, while Smalls rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Ricketts got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards.
Bunnell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 359 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Bunnell and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Stratford, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
Bunnell will take on Bristol Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bristol Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bunnell surely won't give up without a fight. Stratford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
