Basketball Recap: Community Christian Takes a Loss

Community Christian was the 60-43 winner over True North when they last played one another back in February of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 36-32 to the Knights on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ben Samuel posted 13 points and four steals. Samuel has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Brittnel, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.

Community Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for True North, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Community Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-40 win against Faith Christian on the 27th. As for True North, they have also already played their next matchup, a 62-23 loss against Spring Baptist Academy on the 23rd.
