Basketball Recap: Loudoun County Comes Up Short

Loudoun County lost against Woodgrove back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Loudoun County Captains took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodgrove Wolverines.

Dane Marsh was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds for Woodgrove. Marsh also posted five blocks, which is notable because Woodgrove is 8-4 when he posts at least five blocks, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Caleb Roach, who posted 12 points.

Loudoun County's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Woodgrove, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Loudoun County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-41 defeat against Broad Run on the 6th. As for Woodgrove, they have also already played their next contest, a 73-60 loss against Loudoun Valley on the 7th.
