Soccer Game Preview: Lemont vs. Blue Island Eisenhower

The Lemont Lemont HS will challenge the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lemont is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Lemont is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Evergreen Park a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. Give Lemont's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Despite a strong season so far, Blue Island Eisenhower has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Bloom. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Blue Island Eisenhower came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Bloom are ranked 280th).

Lemont's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
