Basketball Recap: Midway Beats Oakdale for Their Third Straight Win

Midway extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Kyleigh Cawood. The Midway Green Wave strolled past the Oakdale Eagles with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 50-35 with plenty of help from Cawood, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Midway's points.

Another player making a difference was Cloa Copeland, who posted seven points and eight boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Midway's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Oakdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season.
