Softball Recap: Gregori Jaguars vs. Tracy Bulldogs

Gregori extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 16-12 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Tracy Bulldogs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Jaguars haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for Tracy, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 27-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

For Tracy's part, Hayden Fell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Fell has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Tracy let Ava Crivello and Emry Couch run wild. Crivello went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Couch got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Crivello has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Emalee Cargill, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Gregori does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tracy, they will challenge Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
