Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Knights vs. Dixie Greyhounds
It was a good run, but the Legacy Christian Academy Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Dixie.
Despite the loss, Legacy Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jacob Thompson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Thompson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. Michael Little was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Legacy Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Dixie, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Legacy Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixie, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Greyhounds in Ohio (the Wildcats are ranked 258th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 560th).
