Basketball Recap: ILTexas Arlington skates past Great Hearts Irving with ease

With a playoff game on the line, the ILTexas Arlington Eagles rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 64-24 at home. Winning may never get old, but ILTexas Arlington sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

ILTexas Arlington found their leader in underclassman Khattab Kanan, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. It was the first time this season that Kanan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Castaneda, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.

ILTexas Arlington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season. As for Great Hearts Irving, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

ILTexas Arlington will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Great Hearts Irving does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
