Soccer Game Preview: Gaffney vs. Eastside

The Gaffney Indians will head out to take on the Eastside Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gaffney's offense. They fell 2-0 to Spartanburg on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Eastside kept a clean sheet against Boiling Springs on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 6-0 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly six goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Eastside and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Gaffney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Gaffney suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Eastside in their previous matchup back in March of 2017. Can Gaffney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
