Baseball Game Preview: Jennings County Panthers vs. Seymour Owls

Jennings County is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Seymour is on a four-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Panthers will welcome the Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jennings County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Floyd Central, falling 11-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Carter Hudson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Seymour came up short against Madison on Tuesday and fell 6-3.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Jennings County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Jennings County skirted past Seymour 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
