Softball Recap: Scranton Prep Takes a Loss

Scranton Prep had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it 12. They came up short against the North Pocono Trojans, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 on Tuesday.

As for North Pocono, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Considering they have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For North Pocono's part, Amelia Bell made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Bell was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, North Pocono got a massive performance out of Isabella Forgione, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Forgione has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Olivia Charles, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Pocono beat Scranton Prep by a score of 13-1 later that day.
