Cheshire Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cats, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Conner Crosbie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crosbie was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Max Markar looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jason Dewitt, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cillian Morrissey, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Cheshire Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
