Softball Recap: West Plains Zizzers vs. Poplar Bluff Mules
West Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Poplar Bluff Mules. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Zizzers of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
West Plains' loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Poplar Bluff, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Plains is on the road again on Thursday to play Carl Junction at 4:30 p.m. As for Poplar Bluff, they will head out to square off against Kelly at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kelly is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, so Poplar Bluff will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
