Brewbaker Tech is a perfect 5-0 against Opelika since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Brewbaker Tech Rams will head out to face off against the Opelika Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Brewbaker Tech has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Brewbaker Tech came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Daphne, falling 13-7.

Jaquayla Jarrett and Kyra Wallace stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jarrett scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Wallace went 2-for-3 with four RBI. That's the most RBI Wallace has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taliah July, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Brewbaker Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Opelika came tearing into last Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gators a 12-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Brewbaker Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. The win got Opelika back to even at 11-11.

Brewbaker Tech beat Opelika 7-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brewbaker Tech since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
