Baseball Recap: Lancaster Mennonite Takes a Loss

Lancaster Mennonite came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dutchmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 on April 9th.

Lancaster Mennonite saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Westin Rhine, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Lancaster Mennonite has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Annville-Cleona, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster Mennonite is set to face off against their familiar foe Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Annville-Cleona will challenge rival Lancaster Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
