Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of D?Nllya Keys and Ratasia Greer Lead Holmes County Central to Victory

Holmes County Central posted their closest win since November 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Yazoo City Indians out 47-44. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Indians are ranked 34th).

Holmes County Central was led to victory by Ratasia Greer and D?Nllya Keys. Greer posted 21 points, while Keys earned six points and 20 boards. That's the most points Keys has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sha Sha Giles, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

The win got Holmes County Central back to even at 12-12. As for Yazoo City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.

Holmes County Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against Yazoo City: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
