Baseball Recap: Lackey Chargers vs. St. Charles
Lackey couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of St. Charles by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lackey of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For St. Charles' part, their win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Travis Parker, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.
