Softball Recap: Gardena Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Gardena and Rancho Dominguez had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lobos on Thursday. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Lobos since on Thursday.

Gardena's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rancho Dominguez, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gardena will take on rival Carson at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Rancho Dominguez is set to square off against their familiar foe Narbonne at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
