Columbus had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Wayland Academy Big Red 5-4. Lio DeJesus was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Central Wisconsin Christian on the 29th.
