            Football Recap: Charlestown Pirates vs. Brownstown Central Braves        
        
		
        
        
            If Charlestown was feeling good  fresh off their  47-27 takedown of Silver Creek last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates were dealt  a  70-25 defeat at the hands of the Brownstown Central Braves on Friday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Christian Grayson, who threw for 224 yards and three  TDs. 120 of those passing yards were hauled in by Noah Phillips, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
  Preston Garrison went supernova For Brownstown Central., rushing for 142 yards on only seven carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards. Those  142  rushing yards gave  Garrison a new career-high.
Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brownstown Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Looking ahead, Charlestown will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Brownstown Central, they are taking a road trip to  face off against New Albany  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
