Volleyball Game Preview: Edison Vikings vs. McNair Eagles

The Edison Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the McNair Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edison will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Edison made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Weston Ranch, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Edison was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Weston Ranch on Monday.

Edison never let Weston Ranch on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 28-25, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, McNair made easy work of Chavez on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won six in a row.

While McNair won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Edison better keep an eye on Kaleb Cabanilla. He was instrumental in McNair's win, getting 11 digs and two assists.

Edison's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for McNair, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Edison took their win against McNair when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Does Edison have another victory up their sleeve, or will McNair turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
