Recap: Mullin Bulldogs vs. Evant Elks
The Mullin Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They suffered a rough 42-20 loss at the hands of Evant. Mullin has struggled against Evant recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Evant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hailey Neri, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Neri hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Waldrum, who scored 11 points.
Mullin dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.5 points per game. As for Evant, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.
Mullin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evant, they will head out on the road to face off against Blanket at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanket has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
