Softball Recap: Union Local Victorious

Union Local won the last time they faced East Liverpool and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Jets came out on top against the Potters by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jets.

Kylie Stidd made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Edyn McGary was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Myah Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Union Local's record is now 4-12. As for East Liverpool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Union Local has already played their next matchup, a 15-6 defeat against Monroe Central on the 23rd. As for East Liverpool, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Weir on the 23rd.
