Softball Recap: Dieterich's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Dieterich's victory against Neoga wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Dieterich narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Neoga 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Movin Maroons have posted since May 9, 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Dieterich, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Neoga, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Dieterich will venture away from home to face off against Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newton will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Dieterich surely won't give up without a fight. As for Neoga, they will challenge Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
