Baseball Recap: Vanden Comes Up Short

Vanden lost against Pioneer back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Vanden came up short against Pioneer, falling 14-4.

Vanden saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Brewer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Brewer a new career-high. Daevion Lindsay was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Vanden's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Pioneer, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pioneer beat Vanden by a score of 5-0 on Thursday.
