Baseball Recap: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Lake View Wildcats
Westinghouse extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-7 in the process. They lost 15-0 to the Lake View Wildcats. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.
As for Lake View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Considering they have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
For Lake View's part, they got a massive performance out of Jayden Matticx, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Matticx is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Tyrone Townes was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Westinghouse has already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Northside on the 5th. As for Lake View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Steinmetz College Prep on the 5th.
