Metea Valley had taken Yorkville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Foxes. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Metea Valley might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Yorkville: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22.

Alana Schille paced Metea Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Schille got some help from Ashley Ward and her 15 assists. Ava Guzaski controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Metea Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Yorkville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Metea Valley has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Aurora East on the 11th. As for Yorkville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Downers Grove North on the 17th.
