Basketball Recap: Boca Raton Falls Short of Coral Glades in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Boca Raton can now relate to. They were dealt a 77-41 loss at the hands of the Coral Glades Jaguars on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Jaguars are ranked 32nd).

Coral Glades found their leader in sophomore Gavin Reed, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Swain, who went 6 of 14 en route to 16 points and six assists.

Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Coral Glades, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Boca Raton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coral Glades, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 83-61 victory against Park Vista on the 7th.
