While much of the high school football playoff action will take place Saturday in Illinois, there were a few highlights Friday night.
No. 2 Lincoln-Way East began its march in the 8A bracket with a 40-0 win over Plainfield South.
Class 7A contender Chicago Mt. Carmel dominated Blue Island Eisenhower 61-14.
No. 1 East St. Louis, No. 3 Warren Township, No. 5 Nazareth Academy and No. 6 Glenwood are among the teams that will take the field Saturday.
