Softball Recap: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. West Carter Comets
It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Nicholas County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Carter Comets, sneaking past 13-12. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bluejackets' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Sidney Sexton made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched nine innings while giving up five earned (and seven unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
